About Roberta K. Stein PR

Roberta was a columnist for the Chicago Tribune Magazine’s “First Person” segment for seven years. She interviewed a wide range of people and wrote about their professional experiences. At the same time, she wrote and placed stories in publications including many sections of the Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Magazine, the Miami Herald, and Pioneer Woman.

As Director of Public Relations for the eight Jewish Community Centers of Chicago (JCC) during another seven years, she publicized a multitude of the organization's diverse activities locally, citywide, nationally and internationally. She placed stories for such nationally known figures including Joyce Carol Oates, Erica Jong, Yitzhak Perlman, Yo Yo Ma, and Pinchas Zuckerman.

From 1995 to 2000, Roberta worked in-house for major public relations firms, handling accounts for businesses and organizations such as The National YMCA, Miller Brewing Company and Mary Kay Cosmetics.

In 2000, Roberta realized that her publicity success for others had paved the way for a PR Firm of her own. In that year, she created, Roberta K. Stein, PR. She continues to publicize the work of local and national personalities, as well as for-profit, and not-for-profit known businesses and agencies.

Roberta maintains an active role in her field and community as a member or subscriber of many groups including
